SNACKS AND DRINKS OUTLETS

It is understandable that passengers are not allowed to eat or drink while on the train, as it helps maintain cleanliness and hygiene. However, it can be inconvenient for passengers who have long journeys and need to eat or drink something. Establishing a food and beverage outlet that sells snacks at the train station of the new Lagos Blue Line Rail would be a great idea. It would provide passengers with a convenient option to purchase food and drinks . Passenger could get snakes, food and drink ones they highlight and reduce the number of people who bring their own food and drinks on board, which can be messy and unhygienic.

Food and beverage outlets are essential for any public transportation system. They provide passengers with a quick and easy way to purchase food and drinks while traveling. These outlets also help generate revenue for the transportation system, which can be used to improve the quality of service provided to passengers.

According to a 1 source, food and beverage outlets dispense a metered quantity of beverage or a packed unit of food in exchange for a token or currency. This makes service fast, hygienic, cheap, and standardized. Establishing such an outlet at the train station would ensure that passengers have access to hygienic and standardized food and drinks.

In addition, according to 2, transport retail generated £748.8m in revenues in 2016/17 for Network Rail. This shows that establishing food and beverage outlets at train stations can be profitable for transportation systems.

Therefore, establishing a food and beverage outlet that sells snacks at the train station of the new Lagos Blue Line Rail would be beneficial for both passengers and the transportation system.
